| Example 1: To create, edit, and encode a
new message |
OneBuilder makes creating, editing, and encoding a complex message as easy as
1, 2, 3.
|
| Step 1 |
To create a message click New... in the File menu.
From the Message Properties dialog, select an ASN.1 syntax and the message you
want to create. |
|
 |
| |
| Step 2 |
A new message has been created and is shown in the
message display area of OneBuilder. Each field of the message appears on
seperate lines. To set the value of a particular field, simply select the
desired field. From the Field Value area, you can set the new value for the
field. Repeat this step for as many fields as desired. |
|
 |
| |
| Step 3 |
Once the message values have been set, the message
can easily be encoded by selecting Save from the File menu. This will encode
the file according to the current method set via the Message Properties dialog.
Once encoded, the data is written to the sepecified file. |
|
 |
| |
| |
| Example 2: To decode and view an existing
message |
| Step 1 |
To decode a message click Open... in the File menu.
From the Open dialog, select the file that contains the encoded message. |
|
 |
| |
| Step 2 |
OneBuilder will attempt to automatically determine
the message's properties from the name of the file. If it is not able to do
this, the Message Properties dialog will be displayed allowing you to manually
select message properties. When the file is opened, the message is decoded and
displayed. |
