| Example 1: To create, edit, and encode a
new message |
OneViewer makes creating, editing, and encoding a complex message as easy as 1,
2, 3.

| Step 1 |
To create a message click New... in the File menu.
From the Message Properties dialog, select an ASN.1 syntax and the message you
want to create. |

| Step 2 |
A new message will be created and shown in the
message display area of OneViewer. Each field of the message appears on
seperate lines. To set the value of a particular field, simply select the
desired field. From the Field Value area, you can set the new value for the
field. Repeat this step for as many fields as desired. |

| Step 3 |
Once the message values have been set, the message
can easily be encoded by selecting Save from the File menu. This will encode
the file according to the current method set via the Message Properties dialog.
Once encoded, the data is written to the sepecified file. |

| Example 2: To decode and view an existing
message |
| Step 1 |
To decode a message click Open... in the File menu.
From the Open dialog, select the file that contains the encoded message. |

OneViewer will attempt to automatically determine the
message's properties from the name of the file. If it is not able to do this,
the Message Properties dialog will be displayed allowing you to manually select
message properties. When the file is opened, the message is decoded and
displayed. |
